Mine was an unusually complicated pregnancy with multiple ER trips and seven months of bed rest for various medical reasons, followed by an emergency C-section. Dr K as I fondly call her, made the right decisions in my care at every stage, and some at very critical points that saved the life of my babies. I trusted her completely and felt reassured throughout my pregnancy that things would turn out well.

To top that, she has a wonderful bedside manner. She can always be reached by phone or email and addresses all your concerns in-depth. She makes it a point to call you back/answer your email in the evening without fail. She also supports your choice of birthing method and tries to ensure that you are comfortable with all the medical decisions.

Dr. Khilnani is an exceptional doctor - she is the most detail-oriented, cautious, accessible, and thorough doctor with an oustanding bedside manner! Usually, you have to give up something to find a great doctor, but she has it all!! I had trouble getting pregnant with my second child. I worked with Dr. Khilnani for over two years and we finally had our daughter this past August. Dr. Khilnani was there every step of the way and I truly believe that we had a successful outcome because of her knowledge and attention to detail. It's been 3.5 months since Dr. Khilnani performed a C section on me to bring out my wonderful twin boys. And I must say, she really made my whole pregnancy / birthing experience wonderful. I always felt secure and confident in her ability to take care of me and my babies. Our beautiful baby girl was born 4 months ago and my hubbie and I are SOOOOO grateful for all that Dr. Khilnani did to help that happen! I had a high risk pregnancy and she took such amazing care of me and my baby-to-be. Dr. K pays serious attention to detail and caught things that I think other practitioners would have missed. She was always available for phone calls, questions (even late at night!!!) and was very present during our labor. She supported our decisions every step of the way. Our doula was very impressed with her and commented how involved she was with my progress and how willing she was to work with us and respect our birth plan. I work in the health care field and felt confident that she was so 'up to date' with current research - especially since we had several health complications. Dr. Khilnani is a gem - we love her!!!!!

Pregnancy is a time in your life when you want to be surrounded with positive and caring people, your friends, and it helps a lot if your OBGYN fits that description.

Last August, I got pregnant with twins after trying for a year and a half and a miscarriage. Naturally, I was a bit apprehensive during my pregnancy, with it being high risk and all. I am so so glad that I had Dr Khilnani as my OBGYN. Not only is she an excellent physician, she is an amazingly caring person too. She would patiently answer my (numerous) questions in person or through emails (which, she is very prompt in replying to).

Being pregnant with twins, I had gestational hypertension. Dr K detected this very early on and managed my condition very well. She would always tell me not to worry about anything and that it was her job to worry about me. :) She really had been on top of things when it came to taking care of me, be it my health, my babies, my diet or my concerns.

I am a mother of 5 month old healthy twin girls and am really enjoying motherhood. I am really glad that I had Dr K as my OBGYN during my pregnancy and now have her as my GP. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an excellent and a caring doctor.

Dr. Khilnani is unlike any other doctor I have been to. I switched from Women's Peninsula Health to Dr. Khilnani's office. At that time, I was under the impression that the doctors don't see you unless you are pregnant, you only see the nurse practitioner, not this office! Dr. Khilnani saw me every time and would do ultrasounds to check on the baby and put my mind at ease. Even though I had a few obstacles to overcome prior to and during my pregnancy, she made me feel like my pregnancy was very normal and it would all be totally fine and she was right. She has such a nice way about her that makes you feel totally comfortable and safe. She even suggested a stretch mark cream that has completely taken away all signs of stretch marks. They just don't make doctors like her!

If you are looking for an Ob/Gyn, you should get in before everyone on the Peninsula finds out about her and she doesn't have room for new patients!

Do you feel like giving up, don't you dare! Go see Dr. Rubi Khilnani. We tried to have a baby for over nine years but couldn't. We went to so many doctors but no one could find a reason "why" I couldn't get pregnant. Dr Khilnani promised me I will get pregnant by the end of 2007, and I did! Now we have the cutest baby boy, his name is Daniel Mitchell Slepnyov. Everytime I look at him, it still brings tears of joy to my eyes. I just want to tell all the women out there who can't find an answer why they can't get pregnant, go to Dr. Khilnani. She will find an answer, and you will have the most wonderful baby. I don't have enough words to espress my gratitude, except THANK YOU, and I hope you will bring joy to those who gave up.

Isn't it always hard to change the gynecologist? No it isn't!! I was in the beginning of my second pregnancy looking for a physician, and I decided to go to Dr. Khilnani based on great reviews, and I never had any regrets!

Dr. Khilnani is one of the friendliest, nicest, most cautious and understanding people I've ever met and she gives you all the certainty you need in the time of pregnancy. I knew that I could give her a call at every time. The delivery was as great as a delivery could be and she took such a great care of me in the time after my pregnancy. My first daughter loves her and likes going to the office. The whole team is very nice!

I can only highly recommend Dr. Khilnani and I want to thank her for her support in the last few months.

I pray and hope that anyone who wants a fantastic physician and wonderful care go directly to Dr. Khilnani. She and her coworker Yvette, are absolulety the best in the field! I have personally worked in healthcare for the past several years and I have never seen a better practice. To make things brief, I was 41 weeks pregnant, it was over New Years weekend, my insurance changed midnight on Dec. 31st and my previous doctor could no longer see me due to insurance reasons. I was on my own! I called a few doctors' offices, because I had no referrals, and then I reached Dr. Khilnani, and Yvette. The doctor, over the phone, spoke with me for a long time, assuring me that things would be just fine and that she would take over my care. Imagine first pregnancy, 1 week late, and the begining of a new year. Well I am grateful to God that things turned out the way they did. I could not imagine having any experience turning out any better! I sincerally thank Dr. Khilnani for taking care of me, but most of all, the love of my life, Ally. I could go on and on, but I there are not enough words of gratitude!

I found Dr. Khilnani through Yelp, and I'm glad I did. As a doctor, she's really great! She's very caring and thorough. She patiently answers all our questions, and we genuinely feel how much she cares about us. She answers emails right away and sometimes even calls to make sure you're doing OK. We are currently pregnant with twins, and so far the level of care we've gotten from her is top notch.

Recently, she branched into solo practice. Though still sharing an office with Dr. Rydfors, she now has a much, much improved system of seeing patients. No more 1 or 2 hour wait every visit! And its a lot easier to get appointments now. She said she felt bad that patients had to wait a long time before so she did something about it! Great Job Dr. K! Now my hubby doesn't mind coming with me to visits anymore :)

I am so glad that I switched my OB to Dr. K. I love her, she is so caring and experienced. When I first visited Dr. K, I was suffering the unbearable itch from Cholestasis of Pregnancy. I was almost gave up carrying the baby. Thank god that Dr. K gave me a lifesaver medication. Every one of my regular doctor visits, she made me feel so comfortable and answered all questions. She spent a lot of time answering my questions and concerns, even though she was behind in her schedule for the next patient. It made me really comfortable. She always told me not to worry. It is her job to do all the worrying.

During my labor, Dr. K came to see me a few times, and made sure I was well. Every time when I saw she was there, the level of pain decreased for some reason. I think I am really comfortable and fearless around her.

I really trust Dr. K for everything. I even called her to give me medication for coughing because my family doctor was not sure the antibiotic was safe for breastfeeding. I am so lucky and happy that I found Dr. Khilnani.

Rubi Khilnani, MD has changed my life in ways I never could imagine. She proved that there can be an "End to Endo" (Endometriosis). Yes, there are be other options than having a hysterectomy , such as laser treatment via laparoscopy. If you are looking for a physician to work with you, give you options other than a script from a medical book & be a compassionate caregiver, I highly recommend Khilnani.

Here's my tale of woe:
For over 15 years I endured 2-3 weeks out of the month in pain. Thanks to being correctly diagnosed & under the doctor's treatment for the past 5 months, I am finally free of this dismal existence for the 1st time. After going through over four doctors that didn't properly diagnose & being told this past March that all treatment options had been exhausted. The only thing I could be offered was a complete hysterectomy.I shudder to think that if desperation kicked in I would have had the surgery by this point in time & dealing with a whole other hormone disaster in my early 40's. Can we say DISASTER?

Dr. Khilnani is the only OBGYN who was able to narrow down my problem, perform the right test, and design a course of treatment for me that worked. During my treatment, she has always been available to answer questions I had & explained how the steps I was taking would achieve the goal of curing my disease. Being pain free & getting a diagnosis was something I gave up on long ago.

I hope to be under Dr. K's care forever. If it wasn't for her knowledge, patience & perseverance in treating me as an individual and not just fixing my symptoms, I would be living in a totally different body than I walk around in today. Early menopause just doesn't sound like fun, need I say anymore?

Dr. Rubi Khilnani is the BEST doctor I have ever seen. Not only is she a very good MD, she has an amazing bedside manner. She is one of those once in a lifetime doctors that you are REALLY glad went to medical school!

I am pregnant with my second baby, and I switched from Dr. Hoff (also in Redwood City) to Dr. Khilnani right before I conceived this time. Dr. Khilnani is amazing - seeing her is like seeing a good friend. She treats her patients with the ultimate TLC and totally goes above and beyond the call of duty. For example, even though I have a totally low-risk, normal pregnancy, she saw me every 1-2 weeks during the first trimester, just to reassure me that the baby is fine. She has also given me an ultrasound at every visit because she understands that some pregnant moms need to see their babies and may go through withdrawal symptoms otherwise! (Most Ob/Gyns only see you once a month, and only do 1 ultrasound at the first visit).

The office is brand new, and very tastefully furnished. The office staff is amazing, and everyone is super friendly and on the ball. Highly recommend Dr. Khilnani.

The first and most important thing to know about Dr. Khilnani is that she keeps your baby safe. I didn't have an easy pregnancy and Dr. Khilnani solved all problems and kept me and my baby safe. She did all this with compassion, caring, and expertise that blows every other OB/GYN I have ever visited out of the water.

I see another reviewer switched from Dr. Hoff to Dr. Khilnani - same here. Whereas in Dr. Hoff's office I got maybe 10 minutes of his time even though I had some serious complications, Dr. Khilnani always took as much time as needed to answer my questions, do a thorough exam and provide her guidance.
